Top 5 Most Popular Revit Pure Live Episodes
Live streaming on YouTube has been one of the most fun and fulfilling things I’ve ever done in my life. I’ve got to meet the most brilliant BIM minds on the planet while interacting with a fun and active crowd.
We’ve had 25 live sessions. Here are the top 5 most popular episodes:
1- Episode 23: Landscape Modeling with Nehama Shechter-Baraban
Not only this is #1, but it also has more than twice the number of views than the 2nd place. Nehama has absolutely nailed it on the topic of landscape, which is a struggle for many people.
2- Episode 3: Creating a Residential Template
During this solo episode, I explore a residential template I’ve created for a client. The tips and strategies focus on creating schedules, tags, dimensions are other elements that are specific to small residential work.

4- Episode 15: FormIt: The Sketchup Killer? With Andrell Laniewicz

For the first time this year, I had the chance to teach a session at Autodesk University. The class was called: “Modeling Complex Railings & Balusters in Revit”. It won a top-rated class award!
Learning Package: Manage
Click here to learn more about MANAGE learning package
In September, we’ve released our MANAGE learning package for Revit. It has been in the works for many years. I’m very proud of this package, and it got a great response from the audience. I’ve got to give a shoutout to artist Surudenise, who created the gorgeous cover art of the course:

Launching BIM Pure Productions
This year, I went full-time on creating BIM content and being a BIM consultant. We’ve just incorporated into BIM Pure Productions Inc. While the Revit Pure website will remain, I want to broaden the focus beyond Revit and into all things BIM and AEC. I am working on a visual identity and basic website for BIM Pure, stay tuned for more!
Favorite BIM/AEC App of 2021: TestFit
Even though it might not fall in the BIM realm properly speaking, I was incredibly impressed with TestFit. TestFit is a building configurator that helps to solve site plans and create feasibility studies. In this article, I compared TestFit to my years of playing Sim City 2000 as a kid.
I’ve also had TestFit’s CEO Clifton Harness on the Revit Pure Live show, which was a fascinating discussion for me. His views on AEC software are refreshing. One of the things that stuck with me is how he dismissed the term “Generative Design” in favor of Configurator and Co-Creation, which implies more active and direct input from humans.

Favorite movie of 2021: Dune
If you are a fan of Sci-Fi but you don’t care much about Marvel and superheroes, there aren’t many choices for you out there. After Blade Runner 2049 in 2017, director Denis Villeneuve once again nailed it with his adaption of Dune. Typically, movies with a 165M$ budget are fast-paced with constant CGI. This one is a slow-burn that explores complex themes such as politics, religion, fate, technology, power and even ecology. I’ve watched it several times already and I am looking forward to part 2.
Thank You!
2021 has been the craziest and most exciting professional year of my career. None of this would be possible without your ongoing support. Thanks to every Revit Pure reader. Happy holidays and see you in 2022.
