A new episode of BIM Pure Live has been released! This time, I dig into the template I made for a client from Toronto, Haroon Malik. Haroon has accepted to share some secret tricks I developed for his custom template. He specializes in residential architecture, especially renovation of homes.
Here is everything you will learn in this episode:
▪ Create a window tag that displays the area of the window.
▪ Use DiRoots Family Reviser to quickly change families prefix.
▪ Use SOFiSTiK North America BIM Tools plugin to quickly change the font used in the template/families.
▪ Create a room tag that displays both the metric and imperial area values.
▪ Use DiRoots ParaManager plugin to quickly create dozens of shared parameters to use in schedules.
▪ Create a plan view colored scheme based on user-created parameter.
▪ Create a room schedule that displays area in both units and a percentage value.
▪ Set a north arrow that can be rotated in your title block
▪ Create an electrical plan for simple residential work.
The live show now uses the chapter feature from YouTube, which means you can easily jump from one topic to the other.
